Why airports should invest in their best asset - the customer - and how airport’s digital strategy can help achieve that goal!

Why and how does the passenger data become a real asset for route development and overall airport revenue management?

Airports spend an awful lot of energy, and therefore money, to attract new airlines and new routes. It's a vital issue for most of them, destinations multiplicity, route frequency and seat capacity being the lifeblood of airport business and growth.

Considering that 2 routes out of 3 are closing within the year of their launch*, one can easily understand what is at stake, more specifically if the airport has no digital means to collect, enrich and get the most out of customer data while routes are operating.

Therefore part of the answer lies with the airports ability to legitimately integrate passenger customer's life cycle, specifically to :

  • Increase direct revenues, aero and extra aero, all across the cycle.
  • Enrich permanently and automatically customer relationships.
  • Target the airport's catchment areas and accurately communicate on airlines network and services.
  • Develop customer knowledge and overall airport Business Intelligence (BI).
