Igor has over 12 years of comprehensive experience in Airline Business working in Tui AG (Hapaq-Lloyd Flug), airBaltic and Qatar Airways various departments of the Commercial Division including Sales, Revenue Management, International Relations, Airline Partnerships & Alliances and Corporate Planning Departments. He has Managed and took part in a number of interesting projects dealing with Change Management, Inventory Migrations, Launch of Loyalty Programs and Airline Alliance integration. Also participated in numerous intergovernmental bilateral air transportation negotiations and meetings on different Aeropolitical issues.
During 2015 - 2018 Igor held a position of First Deputy Director of Georgian Civil Aviation Agency (GCAA). Apart from the overall leadership, he was directly responsible for the Air Transportation, Financial/Economic Analysis, Flight Standards/Certification/Inspection and Aircraft Airworthiness & Registration Departments of the GCAA.
Recently Igor joined a new Georgian Airline – My Way Airlines as a Chief Commercial Officer where he will be responsible for the commercial strategy and development of the company.
Igor holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management and Administration from Vilnius Gediminas Technical University. Focusing on the field of marketing, his earlier university works include a strategic paper on Georgia’s exporting opportunities to EU markets – marketing strategies. In 2016 Igor was granted a fellowship from Singapore Aviation Academy where he will obtain a Diploma in Civil Aviation Management upon completing the program.
