Managing Director Air BP Northern, Central & Western Europe
Alexander Junge is Managing Director of Air BP’s Northern, Central and Western Europe Performance Unit, Air BP’s largest region globally. Alexander Junge holds both the P&L and operational integrity accountability for Air BP’s business in a wide ranging geography spanning UK, France and Benelux regions, the Nordic region and Central Europe, i.e. Germany, Switzerland, Austria and Poland.
Alexander has a broad experience and has served as Director Commodity Markets at Société Générale, France, and Managing Director at HGM Energy, Bremen as well as worked in a number of key positions at Lufthansa in Risk Management and Supply, and in ExxonMobil at its Slagen Refinery in Norway and Trading Division in Hamburg.
Alex’s Northern Europe Performance Unit and Nordic Cluster was home to Air BP’s launch of Biojet at Oslo Gardermoen, an initiative which saw Air BP become the first fuel supplier to supply renewable Biojet via hydrant to commercial airline customers Lufthansa, SAS and KLM.
Alex has, in his tenure, overseen a strong commercial performance and rigorous operational standards and is a keen proponent of responsible fuel and aviation practice, commercial discipline and strategic co-operation.
