Mediterranean Traffic : Challenges & Opportunities

The main problems facing Mediterranean carriers is how to deal with the seasonality of their business, and finding a sustainable long term solution. Some carriers re-deploy capacity during the winter season to continents such as South America and Africa, and this takes some of the cost burden away but doesn't enhance revenues. What can carriers such as Air Corsica do to enhance revenues and profitability? The increase in fuel prices over the coming months will have an impact, but most airlines, have already anticipated such rises in their 2017-18 forecasting.
